To enhance our community service, we are raising funds for a permanent building. This will greatly enhance our community of over 5,000 veterans and their families. Our American Legion logo stands for God and Country, and the highest rights of man. The American Legion is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacy of service and sacrifice, honoring those who have served our nation and ensuring they are remembered.

Discover Our Service to Our Community

Americanism is the vision that drives American Legion Post 147’s initiatives. Our services to the community include the award-winning Payson Military Honor Guard, supporting local veterans and their families such as wheelchair ramps, hand controls for vehicles for disabled veterans, emergency shelter, 60-foot flagpole, 40-foot flagpole, and 30-foot flagpole that surround the community. Local residential flag replacements are done at no cost to the resident. Community service is a key pillar to our Post.
